Clive Kodrii est photographe. Son travail, qui se concentre sur le rapport entre le temps et la matière, exprime sa sensibilité sur l'éphémérité et la pérennité des choses, ainsi que sur les complexes imbrications entre l'Homme, la création industrielle (les machines, les flux de marchandises) et la Nature.

En développant le thème de l'accumulation (non maîtrisée) du temps, et donc ceux de l'altération, de la destruction et du vide, Clive Kodrii s'attache à conférer un nouveau sens aux éléments frappés par l'abandon, en les représentant sous un aspect singulier et insoupçonné. Ainsi, pour l'objet matériel, l'abandon n'est pas un facteur de capitulation mais un précieux passage : toute forme de délaissement est considérée comme une étape charnière entre une première partie de vie, dynamique et utile, et une deuxième, en apparence statique et vaine.

En révélant l'intime beauté qui émane des objets jadis intégrés à un processus de fabrication ou qui ne sont plus en interaction directe avec la société, Clive Kodrii dévoile une esthétique post-industrielle cachée, une représentation radicale et secrète de l'identité matérielle. //

Clive Kodrii is a photographer. His work, which focuses on the relationship between time and matter, expresses his sensitivity to the ephemerality and perenniality of things, and also to the complex interrelationships between mankind, industrial creation (machines, flows of goods) and Nature.

In developing the theme of the (uncontrolled) accumulation of time, and thus those of alteration, destruction and emptiness, Clive Kodrii endeavors to give new meaning to elements struck by abandonment, and represent them through a singular and unsuspected aspect. Thus, for the material object, abandonment is not a factor of capitulation, but a precious passage: each form of renunciation is considered as a pivotal stage between a first, dynamic and useful part of life, and a second one, apparently static and vain.

By unveiling the intimate beauty which emanates from objects formerly integrated into a manufacturing process or that are no longer in direct interaction with society, Clive Kodrii reveals a hidden post-industrial aesthetic form, a secret and radical representation of the material identity. //
