Alain Badan describes a remarkable journey, which leads him first to cross geographical borders, from Switzerland to Australia and Japan, and then to the island of the gods, Bali. But it leads him especially to experience another "journey", which might be called an initiatory one: he discovers his spiritual Identity, which allows him to find a new place and a new awareness of himself in relation to the Universe. The author is in no way a proselyte and he never intends to be a "Guru" ! His tale is simply meant as a testimony, sensitive and moving, attentive to human beings and thereby likely to arouse the interest of the reader and a desire to share this absolute spiritual adventure.

Faire carrière, fonder une famille ne m'a jamais paru être la voie à suivre. J'ai toujours cherché, inconsciemment d'abord, un autre bonheur, une autre liberté que ce que la société me proposait.
Très tôt j'étais attiré par le grand large, par des histoires d'aventuriers. Je rêvais de faire le tour du monde, de vivre des aventures passionnantes. Dès l'adolescence je dévorais des livres sur la spiritualité, notamment ceux d'Arnaud Desjardins. Il me fit découvrir les grands Sages de l'Inde et la montagne sacrée Arunachala dans le sud de l'Inde, que j'eu la chance de découvrir en 2011.
Puis en 1980 j'eu la chance de quitter pour la première fois l'Europe pour ce pays qui m'avait tant fait rêver, l'Inde. Ce fût un inoubliable périple de quatre mois environs qui me mena à faire le tour de cet immense pays. ____________________
I've always been the adventurous type, I wanted to discover the world, other peoples, other cultures and ways of living.
The making of a career, the founding of a family didn't seem the right path to choose. I had always been looking, at first unconsciously, for another kind of happiness, of freedom than those suggested by society.
At a very early stage I was attracted by wide spaces, by stories of adventures. I was dreaming of travelling around the world, of having enthralling adventures. During my teens I was reading avidly books concerning spirituality, especially those by Arnaud Desjardins. He brought me know about the great Wise Persons of India and the holy mountain of Arunachala, in southern India, which I was lucky to discover in 2011.
Then in 1980 I had the possibility of leaving Europe for the first time and to travel to the country I had so much dreamt of, India.
